Reading is the key to unlocking self-learners. Literature is a great resource for teachers and finding good literature is a must!
So many books are published each year that it can be overwhelming to keep up with all the new gems added to the literature treasure chest. The American Library Association has made it a little easier for us as teachers by identifying award winning books. Check out the ALA award winners for 2008.
But what about classics and books loved by youth but not award winners? Check out these great reading lists put together by school districs and libraries from around the country.
